The BBB’s Charitable Review Program is designed to encourage local charitable organizations to accept the responsibility of self regulation by adhering to a set of standards that promote public accountability, responsible use of funds, proper solicitation and governance practices. The Bureau also strives to be an impartial source of information on charities and other not-forprofit soliciting organizations operating in northern Illinois. In addition, through our review services, the BBB hopes to educate the donating public in regard to important wise giving issues relevant to philanthropic decisions.
All donors interested in making wise giving decisions should use these services. It is important to understand that reports on charities may change as time progresses. The charities listed here have new or updated reports. Additional reports on charities and all other companies are available on the Bureau’s web site: www.chicago.bbb.org. You can also call for reports on individual charities at 312.245.2516.
